Biography

Dr. Jerry Daday is a Professor of Sociology and the Executive Associate Dean in the Institute for Engaged Learning (IEL) at IUPUI.  He works closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education, the IEL team, and several campus units to promote the equitable progression of IUPUI’s 22,000 undergraduate students through pathways of engaged learning experiences beginning in the first-year experience (FYE) through their capstone experience.  He has served a member of the High-Impact Practices (HIPs) in the States national working group and conference planning committee for the past three years.  Before joining IUPUI in November of 2018, he was a Professor of Sociology and the Executive Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) at Western Kentucky University.
