The Bepko Learning Center has a philosophy of "students helping students." The center offers opportunities for undergraduate students to achieve educational goals and assists in their development of academic skills through the guidance of more experienced, highly successful student peers. Collaborative learning, role modeling, peer interaction, and peer support play key parts in this process. The program began in August 1991 based on the supplemental instruction model developed by Dr. Deanna Martin from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
