Sarah Haughn, a recipient of a Division of Undergraduate Education department award, spent two years working in Student Transitions and Mentor Initiatives as an OTEAM leader and coordinator. When asked how the division has contributed to her growth as a student, she shared, “I learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I’m capable of more than I thought I was. I feel more confident going into the professional world.” As a result of her positive experiences at IUPUI and with the encouragement of her mentor, Jacob Cole, assistant director of Orientation Services, Haughn has been able to mentor countless students as they find their place at IUPUI.
