Moreland was selected as the Achievement in Education winner for the 2020 Governor's Celebration of Community Service Awards. Six Black Hoosiers were honored for their exceptional efforts across different professions through a partnership between Indiana Black Expo, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.
