Tips for writing future proposals
For future reference, in order to be considered, courses must include a mile marker assignment, that is, an assignment, project, or test component that demonstrates students’ attainment of the Indiana College Core (formerly STGEC) competencies for the intended learning domain and that demonstrates integration and/or application. Ideally, this mile marker assignment will address at least half of the Indiana College Core competencies that are mapped to the course.
Interdisciplinary collaborative courses and courses that include engaged, high-impact teaching practices are encouraged. In most cases, general education courses should be appropriate for students in a wide range of disciplines. Submissions must be received through CARMIn, with a syllabus and proposal form attached, by the deadline.
