IUPUI has a rich history of data-informed decision-making. However, one of the risks of this approach is that we see data that highlights a problem and immediately prescribing a solution. While this is all with the best intent, and often can work, it sometimes ignores the student’s lived experience. How do we ensure the student perspective is infused into our design of interventions and programs to support students? How do we create a culture where student perspectives are shared and insights gleaned to further illuminate the data at our disposal so that student needs are met?
